STATE COLLEGE, Pa.The Penn State Athletic Department has announced that wide receivers coach Mike McQueary will not coach Saturdays game against Nebraska at Beaver Stadium because of multiple threats.

According to a statement, the University has decided it would be in the best interest of all for Assistant Coach McQueary not to be in attendance at Saturday's Nebraska game.

McQueary has been a central figure in the ongoing investigation into the sex scandal that has shocked Penn State, the State College community, and the nation. In the Grand Jury report that led to former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky being charged with 40 counts of sexual assault against eight boys over 15 years, McQueary was identified as a graduate assistant who was then 28 years old in 2002 when he witnessed an alleged incident between Sandusky and a 10-year-old boy in the shower at Lasch Football Building.

McQueary, a former quarterback for the Nittany Lions, is now in his eighth season as a member of the Penn State coaching staff.

Earlier on Thursday, during a press conference, interim head coach Tom Bradley -- who took over for Joe Paterno the evening before when the university's Board of Trustees ousted the long-time head coachwas asked whether he knew of any conversations, had taken part in any discussions, or had considered in any way removing McQueary or preventing him from coaching on Saturday.

Bradley said Absolutely not.
