Despite earlier intentions to play Delmon Young in right field in the second and final game of the Phillies’ series in Cleveland, he will DH Wednesday night. Laynce Nix is in right field against Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer.

Young, criticized over the offseason for his low on-base percentages, homered in his first at-bat as a Phillie and reached three straight times before making an out. He’s in the five-hole again, behind Ryan Howard and in front of Domonic Brown.

Nix bats eighth and Ben Revere is ninth. For Nix, it’s his first start since April 27. Nix has done almost all of his damage off the bench, with two homers, five RBIs and a .538 batting average as a pinch-hitter. As a starter, he’s just 5 for 32 with one RBI.

The Phillies hit some balls hard off of right-hander Zach McAllister Tuesday night, but they didn’t fall in play. The Indians’ hits didn’t technically fall in play either –- they sailed over the fence at Progressive Field seven times.

Cliff Lee is back in Cleveland to pitch for the first time since being traded away in July 2009.

Tonight’s lineup:

1) Jimmy Rollins, SS
2) Michael Young, 3B (no extra-base hits last 67 plate appearances)
3) Chase Utley, 2B
4) Ryan Howard, 1B (.341 BA, 2 HR, 11 RBI during 11-game hit streak)
5) Delmon Young, DH
6) Domonic Brown, LF
7) Carlos Ruiz, C (1 for 8 since Sunday return)
8) Laynce Nix, RF
9) Ben Revere, CF (leads MLB with 77 percent groundball rate)

And for the Indians ...

1) Michael Brantley, LF
2) Jason Kipnis, 2B
3) Asdrubal Cabrera, DH
4) Mark Reynolds, 3B
5) Carlos Santana, 1B
6) Ryan Raburn, RF
7) Mike Aviles, SS
8) Yan Gomes, C
9) Drew Stubbs, CF

Nick Swisher sits for the Indians for the second straight game with a sore shoulder. The Phillies missed both of Cleveland’s big free agent signings – Swisher and Michael Bourn – in this series. The teams meet again at Citizens Bank Park on May 14-15.
