Age: 27
Height: 5-10
Weight: 202
Last team: Dallas Cowboys

Scouting report
The Cowboys picked Harris in the sixth round of the 2011 draft out East Carolina. In his four years, Harris has emerged into a fearsome return specialist and situation wideout. He’s averaged 11.1 yards per punt return and taken back two for touchdowns. He’s averaged 26.5 yards per kickoff return. As a receiver, he has 33 catches for 418 yards and three touchdowns with a 12.7 yards-per-catch average. He made $655,00 last year in the last year of his rookie deal.

Geoff’s take
Eagles fans know what Harris can do in the return game. They remember the punt he returned 78 yards for a touchdown for Dallas in a 2012 win at the Linc. The Eagles could use him. We have no idea if Josh Huff is ready to assume the kick-return role full time, and Darren Sproles’ age is going to catch up to him eventually. Plus, without Jeremy Maclin signed, the Eagles need more receiving help. I don’t think the Eagles need to have Harris, but Chip Kelly loves good special teamers and Harris fits the bill.

Roob’s take
I think this role — backup outside receiver and returner — will be filled by a draft pick and not a free agent. With a few notable exceptions — including Darren Sproles — bringing back punts and kicks is a young man’s game, and Harris’s return numbers have already begun declining. And his receiving numbers (16 catches the last two years) aren’t notable enough to think he can make an impact. I don’t see it happening.
