The Phillies (27-54) turn to Adam Morgan to end their four-game losing streak Friday night as they open a three-game set with the Atlanta Braves.

Morgan, who pitched two innings last Saturday in a rain-shortened game, had a successful major league debut on Father's Day two weeks ago.

Against the St. Louis Cardinals, Morgan allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings in the Phils' 9-2 win June 21. The Phils have just three wins in 10 games since.

This time, Morgan faces the Braves (38-41), who enter the contest with a .255 team average. Atlanta (47) is the only team in the majors with fewer homers than the Phillies (50).

Cody Asche plays left field and will bat sixth. In his last 18 games, the left-hander is hitting .292 with two homers, 5 RBIs and a .324 on-base percentage.

In Thursday night's 8-7 extra-inning loss to the Brewers, Asche was 3 for 5 with a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored.

Leading off for the Phils is Odubel Herrera, who will play center field. Herrera has eight hits in his last four games.

The Phils will face right-hander Julio Teheran (5-4, 4.94) in the series opener.
