BOX SCORE

Despite an OK outing from goaltender Michal Neuvirth, the Flyers saw their modest two-game point streak end Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

In yet another frustrating display of scoreless hockey much of the way, the Flyers lost, 2-0, to the St. Louis Blues. Former Phantoms goalie Carter Hutton got the win.

The Flyers have not scored in 122 minutes, 49 seconds and have back-to-back shutout losses (see 10 observations).

Flyers forward Travis Konecny suffered both a left knee and ankle injury in the second period, according to a source, as he went awkwardly into the boards and did not return (see story).

Flyers coach Dave Hakstol changed his lines up with the return of Konecny, using him with Dale Weise and Brayden Schenn. Nick Cousins stayed with Sean Couturier but picked up Wayne Simmonds.

Lone shot
Late in the opening period, the official scorers awarded Kenny Agostino a shot on goal. The Blues were outshot 11-1 that period.

All shots
At one point in the second period, 11 different Flyers had shots on goal but no goals.

No goals
The Flyers have gone six regulation periods without a goal. Six-plus if you want to count 2:35 of overtime from Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Kings.

Notable goals
Paul Stastny’s goal broke a scoreless tie at 15:22 of the second period right after the Flyers had killed off a four-minute penalty. Kevin Shattenkirk shot from the point off Stastny’s right skate blade past Neuvirth.

Challenge
Hakstol challenged the Stastny goal, saying the play was offside. Replays seemed to back him up, but the goal stood and Hakstol lost his only timeout.

Goalie report
Neuvirth had one deflected goal and a breakaway but faced only 16 shots.

Power play
It was brutal on the first try. The Blues iced it four times. The Flyers had no shots, no setup. The Blues cleared the zone three times on the Flyers’ next power play. The Flyers were brutal all night (0 for 3).

Penalty kill
There was outstanding work in the second period on Andrew MacDonald’s double-minor for high-sticking. The Flyers cleared the zone six times and had two blocks.

Injuries
Besides Konecny, St. Louis’ Agostino suffered a bruised leg after being struck by a puck in the second period. Agostino returned to the game to score off a breakaway in the third period.

Fight
There was a fray near the end.

Scratches
Defensemen Shayne Gostisbehere (healthy) and Michael Del Zotto (leg/bone bruise) and forward Matt Read (healthy).
